Taking time to smell the flowers!

Hello friends!

I hope you’ve been enjoying yourself this summer, despite Mother Nature’s crazy extremes… Returning from a trip up North, during which I reconnected with family, friends and beautiful lush Québec, I feel very fortunate to have found myself amidst such breathtaking sceneries, so much love and the very welcome peaceful sounds of nature! Now fully rejuvenated, I’m looking forward to some fun upcoming gigs including a trip back in time with my Swingband at the Back Room Speakeasy, on Monday, Aug 14th, a few weddings & events, as well as some acting & modeling engagements. A very eventful end of summer in view!

Also on the agenda this month is the continuation of recording “Becoming Marlene Dietrich”, which my amazing band & I began recently. Thanks to all your support*, as well as beautifully crafted song arrangements by the one & only Hyuna Park, we’ve had a wonderful time in the studio so far! We’re very excited to continue telling Marlene Dietrich's fascinating story through her greatest hits and look forward to presenting the album to the world on October 6th, 2023 at Chelsea Table + Stage. Please be sure to plan on joining us for this spectacular event, NYC cabaret and live music at its best! Tickets & info HERE.

*In case you’ve missed our IndieGogo campaign, but would still like to be a part of “making it happen”, here’s where you can contribute to our continued fundraiser. Thanks a million!

It feels great to be back into the “Swing of things”, so to speak. Although this summer has been slightly less eventful working wise, I’ve seen this as an opportunity to camp & travel more, taking time to smell the flowers and enjoy the small things of life! And you, how has your summer been?

In closing, I’d like to share some ways to help Maui cope with the disastrous and heartbreaking situation their community is facing. As some of you know, this Hawaiian island has been a special place for Elias & me throughout the years and I deeply feel for what is happening right now. The wildfires are causing some of the worst damages and destruction we’ve seen in recent history and non-essential travel to Maui is being discouraged in order to prioritize resources for residents. If you feel inclined, here’s a list of community funds and nonprofits you can contribute to right now. In such dire times, truly anything can help and make a difference for those affected by the fires.

Thank you so much for reading, and for your continued support. I wish you all to stay safe, healthy and strong, and I look forward to seeing you soon hopefully! BisouXx
