Big News!

Hello friends!

I hope the month of April has treated you well. On my end, there’s been so many moving pieces, I don’t even know where to start! Spring is finally settling in, bringing along warmer days and fairer weather. A lot of news has come to my doorstep, some of which was sad, some life-changing… Through it all, I’m gearing up for what will probably be the busiest month of my life involving many gigs, events, jobs, family reunions, travels, adventures and challenges of all sorts. But, I am ready, as I’ve been preparing for many months :)

I have one very thrilling piece of news I’m particularly excited to share: a very special performance at Joe’s Pub, on Bastille Day, July 14th. For the Spéciale Soirée, I will lead a very ooh-la-la celebration of all things French! Please save the date as it will be very magnifique!

The last time I set foot on Joe’s Pub stage was so special, as I showcased my sold-out Tribute to Edith Piaf for the very same occasion (France National Day). The ambiance was electric, the music transported us all to a different time & place and even the Late Freddy Cole joined us for the festivities! That was 3 years ago, in 2019… Crazy how time flies! This year, I will be accompanied by my French/gypsy Jazz band, Nuage Rhythm, with selected numbers, anecdotes & stories from some of my favorite French artists, as well as excerpts from the “PHIRO chante PIAF” show will be at the rendez-vous! You’ll find all details HERE.

I’ve also updated my calendar with a few other fun public appearances, including my return to one of my favorite Speakeasies, the Back Room, for a night of Swing & dancing on May 30th; I’d sure love to see you there also! Ah! How refreshing it is to get back into the “Swing” of things, so to speak, and perform for live audiences of music enthusiasts once again!

Despite all of this excitement, I sometimes still wrestle with moments of inner-panic as the introvert within is making her way out onto the surface progressively… I have to admit that I’ve been particularly bad at staying in touch via Social Media lately… The hermit within wasn’t *quite* ready to come out of her shell full speed ahead and I’ve been embracing the remaining moments of introversion. The truth is that I also needed some time to do some deep soul searching, nurturing and exploring, and that lead me to realize that I’ve also been missing the true and honest connections I share with loved ones, family and fans.

Recently, through reading incredible stories about amazing humans from all walks of life, and through my own struggles, challenges and victories, I was amazed by the fascinating realization that we all have a story to tell. I would even go as far as saying that our stories have the potential to defy time, as they’re what connect us to each other and what help us grow and evolve, as human beings. I therefore have a lot of catching up to do with all of you, as well as many upcoming performances I’m excited to share. I look forward to continuing my journey among your company, virtually or in person.

With love, Myriam Xx
